I am not sure if its us or a ton of people seem to be getting married this year. Sneaky was in Delhi a few weeks ago making it two weddings, while I travelled to India earlier this month for my best friends wedding. Dressing up for a wedding takes some thought and planning. And although a classic Indian suit (salwar kameez) or saree is not a bad choice, we always encourage you to try something new. Outside these two, the choice of designs and outfits is tremendous.
Here is our take on 3 outfits you should try this wedding season
Dhoti: Why not choose a dhoti over a patiala or traditional salwar kameez. A great outfit for a cocktail or sangeet, pair it with a short jacket or a long one like in the image below.
Candy Colored Lehenga: No doubt traditional colors (red, green, gold) look great, but this summer may be a good time to try a candy yellow, blue or pink colored lehenga. It’s definitely a great way to stand out at the wedding party.
Cocktail Gown: These are no longer meant only for the stars of the red/green carpet. Gowns are now very mainstream and can be worn by us earthlings. An ornate bodice with an A line bottom is bound to look great to everyone.
