This is a long overdue post ! Trois Kitchen & Wine Bar opened a little over a month ago in Pune and the nice people at this quaint restaurant invited the ninjas to a food tasting. Since Pallavi couldn’t travel, I ended up going with an old friend (Dinesh Krishna) who also doubled up as the photographer.
France is known for its food, wine and fashion. While Chef Mayur took care of the first two, I decided to bring in a little fashion by sporting the monochrome trend. And guess what, I wasn’t the only one! I met fellow blogger and designer Janaki Dani sporting her version of black and white! In this picture, Chef Mayur Gadhkari with boxes of macrons for all of us.
Instantly fell in love with the shoes!
Jumpsuit from Zara | Shoes from a boutique in California | Blue Neck piece from Juvalia and You
On my nails: OPI’s ‘A good Man-darin is hard to find’ – which I reviewed here.
Quick tips on how to wear stripes
Accessorize – While I wore a blue and gold piece, Sneaky wore a coral statement neck piece here.
You could also pair it with another hot trend – neon! Try neon heels or even flats like this lovely lady we spotted at The Weekender
Make up – Don’t forget a nice hot lip color in red, coral or pink!
Now, moving on to the food at Trois.
I reached about 30 minutes late, so I missed on the mezze platter.
As soon a I walked in, Chef Mayur was bringing in the delicious Lamb Bourguignon.
Which was lamb and carrots braised in red wine served with Parmesan mash. This was delicious, the lamb had a melt in the mouth texture and the carrots added a sweetness to this dish.
The other main courses were Pan Seared Salmon on a bed of lentil and topped with a walnut coriander pesto. I loved the salmon, it was fresh and pesto complimented the flavor of the salmon.
Dinesh loved the Duck Confit, which was served with dauphinoise potatoes, baby carrots and cherry jus.
Next up were desserts.
Chef Mayur served a dessert platter consisting of a Mango Panacotta , served with a slightly spicy pineapple salsa which was refreshing. The platter also had a chocolate pear pie, a warm berry tart and a white chocolate and lime crème brûlée.. He also served a delicious chocolate mousse. I did not get a bite of the crème brûlée, but I will be going back for the berry tart and the fresh Panacotta.
I hope you enjoyed the post. To keep receiving updates on new posts and to share tips and tricks on style and fashion, like us here.
You will find Trois opposite Big Bazaar in Kalyani Nagar, Pune. If you go there, don’t forget to tell the Chef where you heard about them from! 😉
