There is good news from Philadelphia! The weather has been fantastic all of June, and I’ve been having a great time through the long summery days! Between outdoor movie screenings by the river, outdoor yoga and fitness classes(on the ‘Rocky Steps’ ;D), pop up beer gardens and people watching, I also made it to a few instameets and met fellow bloggers. The pictures are thanks to the collaborative work I am doing with photography major, AJ (Anthony James). AJ writes about men’s grooming & recently won Regal Gentleman’s Best Male Blogger award. Check out his blog for the latest summer hair & skin tips! It was an absolute joy shooting with him!
So coming to the outfit, we’ve been blogging about the changing dynamics of work wear, picking casual or evening pieces from our wardrobe and styling them to be work appropriate. If you haven’t read the first two posts, do check them out here and here.
Office wear doesn’t always have to be crisp shirts, grey or black skirts. Wouldn’t getting dressed for work on Monday be fun if you could style a piece from your weekend wardrobe as a reminder of the fun you had?!
If you have been following the blog for a while, you will know I love taking an innovative approach to styling something classic. Black and white stripes is a classic to me, in fact almost every girl has a monochrome striped piece in their wardrobe. I picked up this stripe skirt a few months ago from H&M and haven’t had a chance to wear it. I decided to give it a punkish twist by wearing it with a graphic tee & ankle boots. I’d totally wear this for a casual evening for drinks with friends.
Come back next week for the following post where I style the skirt to wear to work!
