Women love color and we’re spoilt for choice these days with neon’s, animal prints, metallic’s and various shades of VIGBYOR hitting retail outlets and eventually our closets.
Well, with men it’s obviously a different story! I personally thought men’s fashion was such a waste, after years of trying to get my husband to try a color beyond white, blue and black. Most other guys I knew too were the same. Remember the men can do ‘pink’ phase. Every man I knew raised an eyebrow at it but some grudgingly gave in and the metros were born. Oh and how we women loved them, well groomed guys in grey trousers and baby pink shirts. <3
Anyway, to check what guys thought of the color movement, we ran a quick poll. This led us to believe that men are still divided on the topic. Quite a few dismissed the idea completely. So we asked the ladies what they thought of men in colored pants and the vote was unanimous – WE LOVE THEM, of course if they are done right. I don’t think anyone fancied the Rowdy Akshay Kumar look
This is HOW NOT to wear color pants:
You definitely don’t want to try this at home!
DON’T 2: Animal prints might be cool on girls, but men don’t need to hop on the band wagon and definitely not with colored pants. And remember to wear them on your waist. Someone needs to tell Beiber that the boxer showing trend was out when WE were 16! No comments about the accessories 😐
Here is what you should definitely try at your next Sunday brunch.
- Graphic Tees are super hot. I am swooning over this look, but definitely loafers would be better than flip flops.
3. Stick to the basics: We loved the Ralph Lauren look book.
(I am on the fence about polo necks, but of course that’s just me)
We love the kolhapuri chappal’s in addition to the color pants, but Jas Arora looks to me like a colorful stauky Beiber with the blazer and accessories!
While Amir stuck to the basics, something is not working. Remember the fit is everything:
Hope this helps our male followers to experiment with their clothes. You could take a look at ZARA for men, FreeCultr (Colored Chinos and Skinny) & also GAP – they offer shipping to India now!
