It is always heartwarming to hear from folks that follow our blog and receive comments and feedback. This post is inspired from one such comment. Someone told us they loved the blog for creating awareness in a world of dogma of what to choose, buy and promote !
This set me thinking; in this world of commoditization is fashion still art? A quick browse across the internet and you realize most fashion and style pages are dominated by logos, brands and sponsored outfits. In order to be considered stylish you need to have a bag with a logo, shoes and clothing from a famous designer. Not like we don’t like a good brand, designer or logo, but isn’t style about how you wear it, rather than who you wear?
While I continue to muse, here are some pictures from a casual evening in Mumbai. These orange khadi pallazo pants from Red Sister Blue are a staple in my wardrobe. From being breezy and comfy in summer to keeping me covered in Mumbai’s ‘winter’, I’ve worn these often. I wore mine with a polka dotted crop top and added a torquise blue sling and earrings for additional fun. Like what you see?
