Summer is here in Philly and though I have been missing from the blog for a few, I am back and come bearing gifts! No matter your style, I bet you will find inspiration for your next warm weather brunch date in this post
I love lifestyle and fashion collaborations, and I always look forward to Philly blogger meets. It is such a great way to hang with like minded people, learn from others in the trade and get your picture taken. What’s not to love? A fellow blogger called it ‘the judgement free zone’, and I couldn’t agree more. Given all the negativity about influencers online, one would imagine blogger babes and dudes to be a bunch of pretentious, entitled people. No room for that stuff here, we all had such a great time being ourselves and sharing our love for food, fashion and photos!
We brunched at Butcher Bar in center city, Philly. If you haven’t been here already, you should absolutely check it out this summer. From the street the place looks a small and crowded, but it’s pretty much the opposite. They have plenty of seating and even have outdoor seating in the back. The food and service are great and I plan on being there for happy hour a few times this summer.
I am excited to share the post and pictures because everyone has such a unique sense of style and so many trends come together in one place.
A big shout out to Julia Dent for taking photos. Do check out Julia’s travel and photography blog for her work. She is always so calm and composed, makes it wonderfully easy to work with her.
Here’s a look at everyone and outfit ideas for your next brunch
Overalls
Overalls are a great choice for summer when you are tired of sundresses and shorts.
Sarah, Smoorelovin in Overalls
I love how Sarah styled hers with an off shoulder crop and bright orange flatforms. The ruffle-ish sleeves and orange accessories add a feminine vibe to the edgy outfit.

Stripes
Stripes seem to be an evergreen trend, almost a wardrobe staple now.
Khoi, Gentleman Within in Stripes
I love how Khoi is keeping things classic in a striped polo and bits of his chambray shirt peeking out. Layering is hard in summer, but when done right keeps you cool, stylish and tan free 😀
Midis
I love midis and maxis, but struggle with all the fabric on my petite structure. A dress with a slit sort of solves the problem at least for me, it’s functional and sexy! And if deep plunge necklines have you worries about wardrobe malfunctions, tie up necklines are a perfect solution.
Chelsea, Organised Mess in tie up neck line and slit midi
Chelsea’s grey midi is so cute, I want one for myself. It pairs so well with the mules and hat, a perfect brunch style.
Kelsey, BellsxWhistles in midi and oversized aviators
Kelsey’s gold yellow spells summer classic, the layered delicate neckpiece and sleek bun adding so much sophistication to the outfit.

Sundresses
A go-to in summer, sundresses never fail.
Melissa, The Skinny Affair in an airy sundress
Melissa’s airy outfit is what I want for 90+ degree days. The splash of color with muted shoes spell elegance
You can’t go wrong with florals and Susan’s outfit with knotted ruffle detail is effortless. Gold sandals are my holy grail in summer, you can literally wear them with anything. Love how they compliment Susan’s understated glamour vibe.
Culottes and wide pants
Much has been written about wide pants on our blog, if you’ve been here before, you know we are fans.
I am obsessed with these red pants. I wear them on airports and to brunches. I am also over accessorizing in summer, I may be overcompensating for the lack of accessories I wore in winter. Wide pants are airy and can go from casual to sexy chic or edgy with the choice of top. I was going with over the top feminine – festival mix with floral heels, big earrings and a sexy blouse.
So many style ideas and such a short summer! What is your summer style? Would you try any of these styles for your next brunch – tell us! Would love to hear from you!
