Fixing a bad hair day isn’t as complicated and frustrating as it seems. You just have to be open to wearing your hair up or styled a bit differently than usual. I have discovered lately solution for those mornings when my hair just won’t cooperate – BRAID.
Not only is it easy, braids are the hottest trends this summer and can do everything from add interest to an up-do to give a haute couture hippie look. It is perfect for hot and humid summer and is a glamorous style option when am trying to squeeze another day in between washings.
I am going to share my favourite braid styles to wear for different occasions and different hair types –
Casual day out – A tousled side-braid is perfect for medium-to-long unruly curly strands. A side braid is easy and takes just 10 minutes to style your hair and are great when running errands, doing housework, or chilling out at the beach or pool.
Turn it into an evening do quotient by creating a front puff with your a messy side braid or weave a fish tail in your side braid and you ready for your dinner date.
Date Night – The side braid works for casual look but If you’re looking for something chic and classic style going out for the evening try the French braid with a new twist. Part your hair and weave a french braid starting at the forehead both the sides and turn the tail of the braid beneath the plait into a bun for the Saturday night at the new club. It is also a great style if f you’re letting your fringe grow out try braiding the offending stands and use a bobby pin to hold them back.
PS don’t forget to wear you loveliest chandelier earrings with side braids.
Concerts and picnics – My favourite style for a music festival or a concert is definitely the boho chic and it is quite easy to achieve without heating or too much product on your hair. All you need to do is a weave multiple french plaits and then tie it into a side pony tail or a bun and accessories with flowers. Or you could weave multiple petite braids and pin them behind your ear and crimp your hair to give you the boho chic look.
Don’t forget to add the pop of colour on your lips with bright red or fuchsia.
