The minute I saw skater skirts back on the racks, I knew I had to have one. Let me explain why. Skater skirts and I go back a long way. I played hockey when I was in school and represented Maharashtra in interstate competitions. Our ‘jersey’ was a black and pale blue paneled skater skirt. We wore it with collared blue tees and sneakers, with socks that went up to our knees 🙂
Of course those days the outfit did not matter, playing the game did. I often think of taking up the sport again, now maybe it can be part of a fitness regime.
Anyway, to the outfit. For a recent magazine shoot, I wore a basic black skater with a loose white tee. To me, it was a tribute to my school days. I did have to change things up and swapped sneakers for embellished ballerinas and accessorized with a feather and pearl neck piece (worn as a earring).
The A line cut of the skater skirt is flattering for most figures.
