This was my second season at the Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) organised by “The Fashion Design Council of India” (FDCI), the apex body of fashion in India. With 115 designers showcasing their Spring/ Summer collection and a grand finale with 16 Indian designers collectively paying tribute to Benarasi weaves, this fashion week is definitely the high point of Indian fashion this season. While am still putting together list of my favourite designers and their collection, here is peek into what I wore to AIFW.

I have been in love with Armaan Aiman Autumn/ Winter entire collection from fashion week last month, so kick-started AIFW in my favourite designer duo outfit. I wore a “jelly fish” embroidered crop top on top of the ox blood deconstructed draped dress both from the eclipse collection. If there is one thing you learn going to fashion week, is to wear comfortable shoes, so teamed this up with silver hologram sneakers and big envelop clutch from Zara.

Wore classic white, denim and white sneakers look with grey & black ombre cape from Urvashi Kaur’s collection Kapda launched at AIFW SS 16. Taking forward the core fundamentals of her relaxed, natural and eco-conscious luxury, KAPDA is aimed at the younger audience. Urvashi aims at providing her audience with pieces which can be mixed and matched to create individual style than mass produced look alike style. Her philosophy and this cape both is pretty much like style sensibilities of Moda Ninja. I was in mood to play with accessories, wore the Shakti cuff as armlet and brooches from Pero.

Fashion week may look all glamorous from outside, but ask anyone who works/ attends the shows from day to night and by the third day one hardly has time play dress up. Thank god for this fabulous two way dress from from Shweta Kapur AW15 collection with stain prints and black on other side. I also need to find another hair style which is no fuss and sexy like top knot I have been sporting almost all days :p.
Day 4
If there is one trend both Cheeky Ninja and I cant get over, it has to be sports Luxe. I have not seen a better take on sport Luxe by an Indian designer this year than Anand Bhushan SS16 collection – Deuce. As name suggest the collection is inspired by tennis. While I may not play tennis, I felt like a sports star in my head wearing this exceptionally tailored neoprene “Cosco dress”..
