Sometime it is interesting to break the monotony, mix trends and go against the usual. Which is what I did, for a friend’s mehndi ceremony by ditching Indian wear for a bandini maxi dress. Doing things the Moda Ninja way, I accessorized heavily with Indian jewelry and my current favorite gold clutch to be ‘mehendi ceremony’ ready. The kundan chandbali, ring and arm cuff adds an ethnic twist and coral bauble and lipstick adds a pop of colour to the blue tie & dye maxi dress. The bindi and braid brings out the Indian gypsy look.
Go ahead mix things up, wear your kundan choker with an evening gown for a gala dinner or jadau earrings with a little black dress for a cocktail party or polki kada with pallazo pants.
